Biography

Margaret is a Canadian artist who works from her home studio.

Margaret has received many awards for her original works in Oil, Watercolour and Acrylic.

Margaret is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. She is a founding and honourary life member of the Dorval Artists Association, Past President of the Ajax Creative Arts, past member of the Oshawa Art Association, Port Perry Artists Assoociation and The Whitby Station Gallery. As well as founding member of Artists-by-the Lake Studio in Ajax, Ontario

In the United States, Margaret is a member of Plein Air Artists,    Landscape Artists International, and more recently, the Adirondack Mountain Painters.

Her most recent works in oils and acrylics are landscapes of Eastern Canada, Barbados, Italy, and France.

Margaret has spent many summers in Nova Scotia and her work of that area portrays her interpretation of the effects of nature on the land and sea.

Margaret continues her coastal interpretations on the west coast where she and her husband now reside ( close to their son and his young family).

When time and weather permit you will find her actively Plein Air Painting (painting outdoors). Otherwise she is busy working from her sketches and Plein air colour studies

Margaret has taught several workshops each year, and is currently developing a new direction in her quest to be a more developed artist.

She does a number of commission works each year for collectors across Canada.
